Volunteer

Volunteers are a critical component of all special events at SARRC! By being a YES Day volunteer, you can help in many ways. Some of our volunteer responsibilities include assisting in set-up and/or clean-up, greeting participants as they arrive or working one of our activity booths.

Oct. 29 Volunteer Opportunities

Sunday Setup: 6:00 - 9:00 a.m.: Help with the final park setup to ensure readiness for the YES Day event! This includes delivering supplies to proper locations on site, helping to prepare event space, and setting up signage and decorations. Please be prepared to be on your feet and moving throughout the park for this shift. (This task may require heavy lifting.)

Parking Control: 7:00 a.m. - noon: Direct and monitor parking facilities. Assist guests and providers with directions to parking areas and to the park. Please be prepared to be on your feet for the entirety of this shift.

Quiet Zone: 8:00 a.m. - noon: Facilitate quiet activities in a space that is designated to be away from the more active areas of the event. A variety of crafts and activities will be provided. Work with the guests to find an activity that fits their needs.

Event Cleanup: 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.: Help with the breakdown of the event by monitoring trash, picking up signage, tearing down water stations, breaking down tables/chairs, etc. Please be prepared to be on your feet and moving throughout the park for this shift. Lunch will be provided to our event cleanup volunteers. (This task may require heavy lifting.)

Additional details including parking and volunteer check-in details will be shared by a member of SARRC's team after signing up! Refreshments and snacks will be provided to volunteers.

So…are you in?

It’s easy…just say YES!

Through SARRC’s YES Day! for Autism, Arizona will proudly celebrate what’s possible when we work together, share resources, and collaborate effectively to say “yes” for people with autism and their families. And importantly, all dollars raised in Arizona for Arizona.
